About Prop 37

Prop 37 is proposes that consumers have a right to know if the food they are eating has been genetically engineered. Starting with California, this legislation has the potential to change the face of food in this country by requiring companies to clearly label products containing GMOs. If it is passed, it will empower consumers to make informed decisions about the food they are eating. Over 90% of Americans if there are GMOs in their food so that they can make informed choices.[1]

    I support Prop 37 because I believe it is our inherant right as human beings to know what is in the food we choose for nourishment. In the words of Dave Matthews, “If there’s nothing wrong with GMO’s, why not put it on the label??!”
